Answer in 30 seconds
Rapid Resizer enlarges any pattern and tiles it across pages, with piece numbering, colour previews and a material estimator, for crafts from woodworking to stained glass. EZGlassPattern is built only for stained glass: it makes a pattern from a photo, checks every piece can be cut at your real size, and prints it tiled at 1:1, for a one-time price.
- Rapid Resizer does more crafts: stencils, lettering, 800+ built-in designs, and projects beyond glass.
- EZGlassPattern checks cuttability: inside corners, deep curves, slivers, crowded junctions and open seams, with fixes.
- Pricing: Rapid Resizer is a subscription from $39/year (as of October 2026); ours is a free check, a $5 one-time 30-day pass, or $39 Lifetime.

Key takeaways
- Rapid Resizer is a broad printing tool — resize, tile and print any pattern for any craft.
- It has a big design library — 800+ built-in designs and a letter stencil maker.
- EZGlassPattern is about cutting — every piece is checked at your finished size, after the foil or lead takes its share of each line.
- No subscription — a $5 pass doesn't renew; Lifetime is a single payment.
What Rapid Resizer does well
Rapid Resizer is a web app for enlarging a small design to full size and tiling it across pages that fit together. You can resize in inches, feet, centimetres or percent, change proportions, mirror or skew, and it works on phones, tablets and computers (rapidresizer.com).
For stained glass it can number your glass pieces, erase parts you don't want, combine patterns, preview glass colour swatches and estimate how much of each glass you need (stained glass guide). It also has a Picture Stencil Maker, a Letter Stencil Maker and a library of 800+ designs. If you work across several crafts, that breadth is useful.
Where EZGlassPattern is different
Rapid Resizer prints the lines you give it. It doesn't list a check for whether those lines can be cut in glass, and a pattern that's fine at one size can have slivers or impossible inside curves at another. EZGlassPattern checks every piece at your finished size for copper foil or lead came, flags sharp inside corners, deep inside curves, pieces trapped inside other pieces, slivers, thin necks, tiny pieces, crowded junctions and open seams, and offers a fix for each.
It also starts from a photo: you choose the piece count and get a stained glass pattern, not a stencil. Photos are processed in your browser and never uploaded. The check is free; a Project Pass is $5 one-time for 30 days of exports, and Lifetime is $39 once (see pricing).
Already resizing a pattern in Rapid Resizer?
Drop the same pattern (PDF, PNG, JPG or SVG) into the free cut checker and set the size you plan to build. You'll see any piece that won't cut before you score the glass.
